Shekar and Meera were in a live in relationship.

All the rules had been laid out  perfectly, the rules were simple, each one had a separate room, every bill and chore would be equally divided.

It was love for books that got them close,4 years on, while the romance was loosing its fizz.

It was a no hassle relationship, neither one was expected to attend to each others relatives, parents were exceptions. Friends, family were warned against the ‘marriage’ saga! It was a convenient arrangement!

Even if it was a live in , cheating was not an option! Each one was in this arrangement, because they were in Love and just didn’t believe in marriage to certify it.

Being faithful is all that they had promised to each other.

Then, one day,  Meera met Alok.

Alok , Riya’s brother, an ex army officer who had left the armed forces to follow his passion. Alok was running a school for the under privileged and was in town to collect donations.

He was at their office, when Riya , her colleague from office introduced the two. After that they just kept bumping into each other. Alok was a avid reader himself.

Six months later, Alok asked her out.

Meera had been in this relationship of convenience for 4 years now, she was a fiercely independent and even today Shehkar and she shared an amazing rapport.

She decided to talk it out with Shekhar. She was not bound by any legal paper to be faithful to Shekar, it was just their trust and respect for the relationship that was holding her back.

When Shekhar first heard about Alok, he felt cheated, angry, she was not physically involved but at some level there was this emotional connect that she had established with Alok.

Could he hold her back? What was there to tempt her back to him? Love, as there any  love  left between them?

Live in isn’t as easy as it seems! Alok wanted marriage. Meera wasn’t sure. Shekhar was lost.
