CLAYTOPIA

CLAYTOPIA

Last 6 months, every few days I would visit my blog, start with a new post, stare blankly and then hit the Design button. I have changed the background countless number of times now!!  I have almost lost the will to write, it was so much more easier  back then. I have been trying hard, very hard. I guess that’s the problem,It isnt coming naturally to me anymore!! I have so many stories and I almost frame a complete para but to put it down here that’s when the interest fizzles out.

Apart from getting work back home and incessantly being online(this has been a killer too, it just sucks you out of your creativity!) , I have been following couple of  blogs. I have always believed in taking notes from family and friends rather than believing in whats put up on the internet, but that changed. I love going through these colorful  food blogs, i have even tried few of them and so far its been great. Brownies have been a hit, and now I wanna try New York Cheese Cake :).

Here is the reason why I started writing this post in the first place, Its about this wonderful Sunday afternoon that we spent on Friendship’s day. Anvita and I keep this day every year to ourselves. Its just two of us and loads of unfinished gossip and shopping!! This Sunday, we decided to do something different and that’s how Claytopia happened (Its all over on the net, just Google) . It was one of the best friendship’s day by far.. hands down. By the end of an hour, I had given up on my pot and was laughing my head off. I started off all confident but does this shake you back to reality!!  I think I was almost as good as a 2 year old LOL.

Anvita on the other hand, played the underdog, bloody hell she turned those fishes into such beautiful magnets (which are going to adorn my fridge) ,it was unbelievable. And to add to my woes these bunch of 6-7 year old made it a point to come and judge us. I was already running low on my creativity and here was a 10 year old “These are very pretty (looking at Anvita) , but she seems to be trying too hard (points at me)” LOL!!

After an hour long laborious afternoon (it seemed like ages to me honestly) we treated ourselves  to a decent lunch in the adjoining bistro. We will get our master pieces 10 days from now (they’ll glaze it and you can take it home) , a reminder of this beautiful afternoon 🙂

That’s was before I started working on it

All set

 Brushes and Paints
 Anvita’s masterpiece
A colorful wall that adorns the entrance

P.S: I have lost my new camera (long story, but typical me!) I am at mercy of others to take pics and then coax them to share them! My brownies would have made their beautiful presence felt here…

  1. Hey Sandhya, Nice to hear from you after a long time! We can gang up anytime 🙂 and Gossiping we dont need a special do we, we can start anywhere we want :). Of course Ur angel would be much better than any of us any day!! 🙂

  2. Great Blog, Anusha! Let me add 'Claytopia' to my 'GUK book'. It defenitely will be a good activity to take my li'l angel after 2 years 🙂 But believe me, that will be just an excuse to let my creativity flow in(which i doubt if exists any more) and adorn the walls(somewhere..grrr)

You guys seem to be having jolly good time on FS Day's (and am missing it!:-(). Would love to gang up any one day and convert it to a FS day with lots of stuff that i love and you guys do (gossip and shopping..hehehe)
