Review: Dragons Love Tacos
Who doesn’t love tacos? I love love tacos and my current favorite is the Tacos Camarones . I could go on and on about tacos but I am here to talk about the book so we will save Tacos for some other time.
Dragons Love Tacos is a hilarious ,delicious read aloud picture book for children between the ages of 3-5. It would make a fun read aloud book for early elementary kids too. This book was published in 2012.
From critically acclaimed Adam Rubin comes a fun story about Dragons, Taco and little boy Robbie , who throws a big taco party for the dragons but forgets that As much As Dragons Love Tacos They Hate Spicy Salsa. Spicy salsa gives them tummy trouble and it makes them breathe fire. What happens when dragons breathe fire?
Illustrations by Daniel Salmieri are colorful, fun and add to silliness that unfolds with the all the drama around spicy hot salsa. Books are meant to entertain and this one does just that.
A simple story with lots of dragons. What’s not there to love? Kids love Dragons and this one gives you dragons in all sizes, colors, shapes doing fun things while enjoying their tacos.
Dragons Love Tacos was one of our favorite bedtime story for a while. I got laughs every time I read this book to them .Sometimes that’s all the kids need, a good laugh.
This book will spark their imagination in so many ways and as a plus you get loads of giggles too. Some books are just meant to be read aloud . This is one such book .
Adam Rubin, followed this one with the sequel, Dragons Love Tacos 2. We enjoyed the first one a tad more than the sequel. .
If you are looking for something with a deeper message to it, then I suggest you take a look at Sofia Valdez Future Prez.
Thanks to S’s and now Curious’s insatiable hunger for reading , Little and I are treated to some amazing books every few weeks, our growing in-house library stands witness to this.
If you are looking at ideas to gift a 2-5 year old, don’t forget to add this one to your cart and get ready for the laughs. Do you have a bedtime favorite that you swear by?
The reviews that you read here are our personal experiences as we introduced them to the girls. I do hope you find something useful to take back with you after reading the post.
