He always said the right words, always made the right move. He could have any girl he wanted, but his eyes were fixed on this one.  I don’t care attitude, made her desirable.

She knew he checked her out everyday, and he always caught her looking at him. There was an unspoken chemistry between the two.

It’s not like people didn’t notice, they did, but they got it all wrong. While they kept looking at this unspoken relationship as an ego war, what they didn’t know is secretly the two of them desired each other.

Each one waiting for the other to make the move, the tough look, the attitude, all was a game, a game of guessing, a game of waiting.

Then, she came into their lives. A new admission from Mumbai, ! she caught every boy’s attention in the college for the right reasons, while the girls couldn’t stop  talking about her.

Her presence didn’t really ruffle any feathers for this duo.  Ahana, had done her homework, she wasn’t born just yesterday, they could fool the rest of the college, not her.

While Jai didn’t change his goal post, Ahana needed a new interest, a new project, the interesting chemistry between Jai and Shikha had her all excited. While she was here to become a engineer, yaar life mein thoda twists and turn bhi hona chaiye.

Ashok’s entry was a shocker. No one , absolutely no one knew that Shikha had been dating Ashok, a senior for 2 years. When the news leaked out ( a well kept secret) college didn’t sleep for 2 days! Even the staff was gossiping!

Jai, left for his guardians house the every same day, he had to get out. Suddenly everything was getting complicated!

The third day, Jai decided to turn up. He had spent 2 sleepless nights tossing and turning. Was all of it his imagination? All of it? They had not even spoken a word, he couldn’t just question her!

Shikha was standing at gate. She had his friends find out when he would arrive. He thought she was walking towards him, yeah rite, that’s what I have been thinking for 6 months now! No thank you! He almost banged into her.

“hey”
“me? you are talking to me?” he was making sure.
“Duh! Idiot I am talking to you!”
“Excuse me!” shocked
“Oh,no! You excuse me!” and she continued
“You stupid fool, how long did you want to continue this? Who do you think you are? You think you can just continue this act and expect me to keep waiting? Seriously dude!” she looked very angry!
Oh God, I think I am imagining! He was just staring at her. The words didn’t make sense.
“Come off your trance! and speak up!”
“Speak up?” Suddenly his words got a voice
“Speak up? You were the one who was pretending, fooling me all along! I have been a idiot, yes agreed. To think there was something going on! he paused!
Smiling. “You have a sexy voice! Why didn’t you use it ,when you should have!”
Irked.“You have been dating him for over 2 years! 2 years! God damn it!”
“So?” calm
“So?” surprised
“yeah, so what?” she was very loud
“So. so. so” just like that the his words started loosing their voice.
“Go on fool, what?”
“I dont know!” He really didn’t know!
“idiot! So, I was going around with him. Fool, does that mean that I can’t fall for anyone? When it was obvious between us, why didn’t you just ask me?” Didn’t I make it clear to you? You were the one, who just kept mum, waiting for Lord to come down and say it!”  it all came out!

She seemed like she would slap him, if he stopped her now He was smiling by the time she had finished.

“Ok, yaar. Ho gayi gaalti.Paasand kaarta hoon. Bahut. Ab?”
“Ab matlab?” she was still angry
“Ab matlab? Ashok muhje pitne vitne tho nahi aa raha na! matlab tum uski ab Ex-GF ho na? Kyunki.
“Kyun ki” she was smiling now
“Kyun ki, you know!”
“complete the sentence you fool!” She grabbed his hand!
“Do I need to?” he pulled her close.

They didn’t come to the college for the rest of week!
